Is the Spectre of Communism Haunting America?
In The Socialist Bible - Why The Communist Manifesto is the World's second most important Book, radio host Charles Moscowitz notes that Communism has been and remains a political faith and an agenda of the very richas well as cultural elites and academics. Morse detects manifestations of the Communist idea within the Top 1% of America’s big three:
Big Government, Big Business, Big Unions.
The Communist Manifesto, second only to the Bible in influence, contains 10 planks which have made astonishing inroads in American politics.

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
V. I. Lenin tried this in Russia resulting in millions dead and a society on the brink of collapse.
In America, property is abolished slowly through raising levels of debt resulting from a more centrally managed economy and currency, environmental regulations, Agenda 21, and housing programs such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as HUD rewarding grants to states for integrating neighborhoods.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
The income tax, passed in 1913 with the 16thAmendment, struck down the 1895 Supreme Court decision Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Company ruled the income tax unconstitutional. The enforcement of the 16th Amendment required the establishment of the Internal Revenue Service which gave the government access to citizen’s private information. The gathering of private information is now ratcheting up with NSA spying and Obamacare. The goal of Communism is public ownership of the means of production which means control over the economy and the lives of the citizen.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
The death tax is an assault on private property. It requires citizens, after lifetimes of work accumulating property which was taxed, to surrender their ability to pass on a portion of their property to their heirs.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
The term rebel is interpreted, in the Marxist context, as to mean any person deemed to be an enemy of the State or the people. Political crimes, a hallmark of Communist countries and the cause of untold numbers of dead by firing squad and disappearances, are being introduced into the American system of law in the form of hate crimes.
5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
The Communist Manifesto supports an exclusive monopoly by a private central bank over the capital and credit of a nation. The Federal Reserve System, which came into existence in 1913, is such a private central banking system.
The central bank is the chief agency of social engineering as it is not accountable to the people through their elected representatives.
The monopoly central bank has the power to manipulate interest rates which causes inflation and depression. By this means the central bank profits off of the productive work of the citizen and exercises a large degree of control over business and property. The central bank can wipe out or artificially enrich industries and investments and, as such, transfers authority over money, and therefore over people, from the sovereign state to a private authority.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
Big Media has become concentrated into the hands of a select few big corporations which maintain interlocking relationships with the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party. Communism seeks control of the means of communication in order to control the thinking of the citizen.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
This is manifested by a tendency toward onerous business regulation that benefits the big players while shutting out competition.
8. Equal obligation of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
The most blatant manifestation of this in recent years is Obamacare which forces working people who have not received special dispensation from the government to pay a portion of their wages into a health plan. Additionally, welfare has become a system in which able bodied people are paid not to work.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
Certainly Stalin’s Communist Russia and Pol Pot’s Communist Cambodia were examples of this policy ofequable distribution of the populace over the country. This has not yet happened in the United States.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc.
American public education has become increasingly nationalized with the Department of Education and the National Education Association in charge. The nationalization process has continued with such programs as Outcome Based Education, Sex Education, and recently the Core Curriculum. These programs have advocated a change away from cognitive learning, which encourages independent thinking, toward behaviorism which encourages collectivist thinking.

ACORN is Back…Not That They Ever Really Left
ACORN - The Takeover of America
In September 2009, James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles released videos showing Giles posing as a prostitute and O'Keefe as her pimp engaging ACORN employees in six cities who provided advice on how to engage in tax evasion, human smuggling and child prostitution.
The government reacted by cancelling tens of millions of dollars’ worth of contracts with ACORN, a left-wing criminal syndicate with branches on over 100 American cities.
ACORN, a secretive labyrinth of interlocking non-profit and for profit front groups receiving untold millions of dollars in grants from local, state and the Federal government over a 40 year period, engaged in campaigns to overwhelm the welfare system, bankrupt the banking system and short circuit the voter rolls with fraudulent applications. ACORN was regularly hired by liberal Democratic candidates as their shock troops in their efforts to “get out the vote.” Barack Obama’s campaign paid ACORN almost a million dollars in the 2008 presidential primary and turned over their maxed out donor list to ACORN for the general election.

Charles Moscowitzauthor of ACORN - The Takeover of America notes that while the left-wing behemoth was driven into bankruptcy once the government contracts were cancelled as a result of the scandal, ACORN continues to operate in many cities under different names.Morse also notes that organizations formerly affiliated with ACORN were busy in voting districts where President Obama got 97%-99% of the vote in the 2012 election.
The administration has now hired former ACORN lobbyist Deepak Bhargava to run an Obamacare promotion. Bhargava appears to have played a role in a revival of the loosely affiliated front groups that made up ACORN. The left-wing blog Alternet quotes Bhargava as saying, “There are quite a few grassroots organizing groups and networks around the country, but no single branded group like ACORN. There are the seeds of a poor people’s movement in the country again, more today than in a number of years.” Exactly what ACORN ever did for poor people remains a mystery.
Alternet lists 3 such groups:
·         National Peoples Action (NPA), a mid-sized group of 200 organizers with a national and a multi-state presence, played a key role in organizing Occupy Wall Street. NPA pushes “financial reform and preventing foreclosures” which are euphemisms for coercing banks into doling out taxpayer backed loans to unqualified applicants—the same tactic that led to the economic meltdown of 2008.
Alternet quotes NPA director George Goehl, “We’ve put a good deal of energy into trying to modernize the Community Reinvestment Act. That’s become a primary focus of our three meetings with Ben Bernanke. We’ve had nine townhall meetings with his staff and five official meetings with the Fed focused on modernizing CRA.”
·         The New York Communities for Change (NYCC) a splinter group of ACORN, is working on lowering mortgage standards and cancelling mortgage payments in New York and also to organize unions for supermarket workers.
·         The Maine People’s Alliance (MPA) is working to stop attempts by the State of Maine to prevent voter fraud.
